Your journey – the Halcyon way
Step 1 Getting to know each other: the initial meeting
Your roadmap to financial peace of mind starts with an initial meeting. These sessions are incredibly valuable, as they allow us both to explore and clarify how financial planning will help you. It’s also our chance to get to know each other and see if we’re the right fit for a long-term partnership.
It’s important that you feel relaxed, so our initial meetings usually take place in a space where you can be comfortable. We also recommend bringing your financial documents to this meeting so we can really get the most out of it. This stage of the process is at our expense.
Step 2 Choosing your destination: the discovery stage
In order to make your hopes and dreams for the future a reality, we need to know more about what those hopes and dreams are. The discovery stage is all about getting to know what makes you tick: where do you see yourself in five, ten, twenty years? What would you truly love your life to look like? Discovery helps us to examine your priorities, and pinpoint what’s most important for you and your future.
Step 3 Mapping your journey: the planning stage
Based on what we learn in the discovery stage, we’ll chart a course for your future finances to achieve the life you’re looking for. We’ll look at your current financial situation and map out all the viable routes to your objectives.
Step 4 Mastering the terrain: implementation
It’s time for take-off! As with any journey, you need to know what you’re up against. As we implement our recommendations, we’ll ensure you feel well-informed and prepared at all times. Guided by your goals, we’ll steer your investments wisely, gliding over any turbulence along the way.
Step 5 Staying on course: ongoing reviews
The process of achieving long-term financial security requires ongoing support and maintenance. We’ll regularly review your progress and make sure your plan still fits your goals. If things have changed, we simply alter your course. It’s an integral part of the Halcyon way of working that helps us to establish long-lasting, healthy relationships with our clients. Once we’ve got that, it’s plain sailing.
Make it a family affair
Planning is personal, and confidentiality is of the highest importance. This sometimes causes people to believe it’s better to go through the process alone – but we couldn’t feel more differently.
Over the years we’ve seen how an individual’s financial situation can impact those around them. We also respect the unpredictability of life, and how important it is to keep the people who matter informed. That’s why we strongly encourage you to involve your spouse, partner or close family members in the planning process.
